Dear Editors, Please consider our manuscript entitled “The Operator Intelligence Benchmark: Domain Construction, Constraint Contraction, and Certified Solution Emergence in Neurosymbolic AI” for publication in Neurosymbolic Artificial Intelligence under the Special Call on Neurosymbolic Benchmark Papers. The manuscript introduces OIBench, a reproducible benchmark for evaluating whether AI systems can progressively contract constrained solution domains while preserving the correct solution and producing independently verifiable certificates. OIBench contains 1,000 tasks spanning permutation reasoning, Boolean constraints, modular arithmetic, and graph coloring. The benchmark evaluates several operator-selection strategies using explicit measures of domain contraction, candidate-evaluation cost, solution survival, and certificate validity. The study distinguishes ordinary answer search from Operator Intelligence, in which neural components may propose or prioritize operators while symbolic verification determines whether a contraction step is admissible. The benchmark therefore provides a concrete and falsifiable way to study domain construction, constraint contraction, and certified solution emergence in neurosymbolic systems. The submission includes the manuscript, supplementary material, benchmark data, source code, result tables, figures, and reproducibility files. This manuscript is original and is not under consideration elsewhere. Thank you for considering our work.
