Special Call for Survey Papers

Special Call for Survey Papers on Neurosymbolic AI Topics

Survey articles are full-length papers surveying the state of the art of topics central to the journal's scope. They should have the potential to become well-known, highest quality introductory and overview texts.

Prospective authors should feel free to contact the editors-in-chief at eic@neurosymbolic-ai-journal.com with any questions related to this call, e.g. to assess whether a certain topic is suitable in principle.

Survey paper submissions will be reviewed along the following dimensions: (1) Suitability as introductory text, targeted at researchers, PhD students, or practitioners, to get started on the covered topic. (2) How comprehensive and how balanced is the presentation and coverage; in particular the survey should not be a platform to promote the authors' work. (3) Readability and clarity of the presentation. (4) Importance of the covered material to the broader Neurosymbolic AI community.

Deadline:

January 31, 2026. Earlier submissions will be processed as they come in. Please note that NAI submissions made September 1, 2025 or later will incur an APC (see the Author Guidelines).
